Jimmy Johns

Mr. Johns was born in Millwood, Georgia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1960 coming from Okeechobee, FL.Jimmy was the Owner/Operator of Jimmy’s Auto Clinic, Ft. Pierce for 30 years. He was a member of Indian River Presbyterian Church, Ft. Pierce Lodge #87 F&AM, Eastern Star Ruth Chapter #7, Past Patron, Ft. Pierce Elks Lodge #1520, Mustang Club, Knights Templar Eye Foundation, and he also served in the U.S. Air Force.Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Lena Mae Johns of Ft. Pierce, FL; step-children, Shirley Morgan of Port St. Lucie, FL, Vivian Jones of Murfresboro, TN, Jerry Eastwood of Lake Wales, FL, and Patricia Sanders of Ft. Pierce, FL; brothers, Charlie Bennett of Homerville, GA, Steve Johns of Alabama, and Larry Johns of Georgia; sister, Ruth Karpowicz of Georgia; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews all of South Georgia. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Brenda Myrick, mother and father, and two sisters and two brothers.Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Retirement Home, 3201 First Street NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704.
