Jimmey Joe Wilson Sr., 70, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, with his beloved wife by his side. Born on March 4, 1956, in Göppingen, Jimmey was the son of Retired SFC (Army) Bobby Joe Wilson and Erika Henny Weisener.
As the son of a military family, Jimmey grew up with a deep sense of service and patriotism. He proudly enlisted in the United States Navy on January 6, 1975, beginning a distinguished career as a submariner attached to the South Pacific Fleet for the majority of his service. Through dedication, hard work, and leadership, Jimmey rose through the ranks and retired on January 31, 1995, as a Machinist’s Mate First Class. Following his active-duty retirement, he was transferred to the Fleet Reserve and later received full retirement on January 1, 2005.
After his military career, Jimmey made Fort Pierce his home. In 2009, alongside his wife Connie, he co-founded CJ Marine Propulsion Specialists in Fort Pierce, specializing in marine transmissions and engine rebuilds. Their business not only reflected Jimmey’s incredible mechanical talent and work ethic, but also gave the couple the opportunity to travel the world together doing what they loved. Jimmey officially retired in 2024, leaving behind a respected legacy in both military and marine communities.
Jimmey will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his adventurous spirit, his sharp mechanical mind, and the friendships he built throughout his life and travels. Whether serving his country beneath the sea, rebuilding engines, or spending time with loved ones, Jimmey approached life with determination, humor, and heart.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Constance “Connie” Wilson; his son, Jimmey J. Wilson Jr. and wife Courtney of Fort Pierce, Florida; two cherished grandchildren; his stepson, Edward J. Morales and wife Maria of North Dakota, along with their four children; and his "Sweet Girl" might maleficent who never left his side.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Dogs and Cats Forever in Jimmey’s memory.
Jimmey’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
