Mrs. Potter was born in Jenkins, Kentucky and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1971 coming from Fairfax, Virginia.
She loved to cook and take care of people.
Survivors include her daughters, Zandra Hardman and Kathy Kemp both of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Tommie D. Potter of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Jack Elkins of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Potter, Jr.
