Jeffrey Goltry Schneider

From his home, on Friday, January 16th, 2026, Jeff Schneider leaped from the arms of his loved ones into the arms of the Lord.

Jeffrey Goltry Schneider, 78, a longtime resident of both Florida and Texas, was a man of deep faith, dedicated service, and quiet strength.

Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Jeff was the son of the late Major W.C. ”Chuck” and Fanchon Schneider. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force before building a long and respected career in his community.

Jeff served as an Operations Manager in the Texas and Florida Citrus Industries, where his leadership contributed to one of the country’s most vital trades. Following his time in the citrus industry, he also earned an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology at Indian River State College.

His commitment to his community was most evident at Indian River Presbyterian Church, where he was a devoted member for 35 years. Over those decades, he served faithfully as a Deacon, Elder, and Choir member, offering his time, heart, and wisdom to his church family. A man who led by example, Jeff spent countless hours quietly maintaining the church grounds and improving the sanctuary with his own hands. For many in the community, he was a familiar fixture of the annual Living Nativity, where he was known for portraying one of the Wise Men year after year. He also simply enjoyed being part of the church’s youth dinners and activities, valuing the chance to connect with and support the next generation.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Schneider; his brother, Doug Schneider; and his two sons, Jeffrey and Jason and step-sons Chris and Brian.

His legacy lives on through his eleven grandchildren: Kayla, Nathan, Pierce, Emma, Maggie, Sofia, Jace, Shayne, Katie, Sydney, and Lydia; and his three great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Kimmie, and Olivia.

Services:  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Indian River Presbyterian Church.
