Jean Marie O’Brien, 95, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born on January 31, 1930, in Melrose, Massachusetts, Jean moved to Florida in 1991 and resided in South Hutchinson Island at the time of her passing. She worked as a bartender for 50 years, a career that reflected her vibrant personality and love for people. Jean cherished the ocean, was a devoted fan of all Boston sports, and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, David (Linda) O’Brien of Malden, MA, and Michael Joseph O’Brien of Fort Pierce, FL; her daughter, Sheila Sechoka of Fort Pierce, FL; nine grandchildren: Michael, Kelly, Richard, Michelle, Billy, Elise, Brendan, Jenna, and Kevin; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many beloved nieces.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Fenley Sherman Beeler and Lillian Mceachern, daughter, Debra Jean O’Brien-Gray; and her brothers, Fenley Sherman Beeler, Jr., and Francis Walliston.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, resilience, and love for life.
