Jean R. Louis

Jean Robert Louis was born on November 14, 1941 in Jeremie, Haiti to Marie Therese Elia Louis and Felix Louis. He was affectionately known as Roben. He had a big heart, a quiet and gentle spirit and a great sense of humor. He was a loving, kind and generous son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend.

Jean Robert was the middle child of ten siblings. Growing up he loved playing soccer with his brothers and spending time with his friends, including managing a band. He immigrated to the United States in 1968 and met his wife, Anne-Marie in 1978. He worked as a dental technician and co-owned a shipping business with his friend. He had a love for music and enjoyed both playing and watching tennis.

Jean Robert passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 15, 2023 at the age of 81 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his son, Phillip, his parents, four brothers and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife Anne-Marie of 42 years of marriage; 3 children, Jaenna and husband, Marlon, Ambert and wife, Gina, and Sabine and fiancé, Eric; 3 grandchildren, Emma, Demetrius, and Penelope; sisters, Lucienne, Evy, Marie Lourdes, and Gertrude; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He is deeply loved and will forever be in our hearts.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 31, 2023 at the Haisley Tribute Center from 5PM to 7PM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 10AM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 before going to Rolling Oaks Cemetery for Burial.
