James Michael "Jim" Packer

September 18, 1951 — March 5, 2024

Fort Pierce

James Michael Packer, “Jim”, 72, of Fort Pierce, Florida, entered the Lord’s embrace on March 5, 2024. Born in Deep River, Connecticut, on September 18, 1951, Jim walked a path of unwavering faith and profound kindness throughout his life.

Jim retired from NuCo2 with 25 years of dedicated service. He was a man of many talents and was always on a mission to “fix” or build things, no matter what it was.  A steadfast man of God, Jim was a cherished presence at A Place of Refuge Church. He found solace and strength in his walk with the Lord. Beyond the walls of work and worship, Jim founded Charity Acres, the family farm where he embodied the principles of love, compassion, and service.

Jim opened his heart to many, serving not only as a father but as a mentor to countless individuals. He was known for his quick wit, big heart, willingness to lend a hand, and his full red beard. He held the esteemed titles of husband, brother, dad, PopPop, and friend. Jim’s loving, God-fearing guidance will be profoundly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Debbie Packer; his loving sister, Suzan Sellian; his beloved daughters, Jamie Packer, Daisy Morris, and Ester Jamison; his treasured grandchildren, Maryann Munoz and Tristan Jamison; and many more bonus children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at A Place of Refuge Church in Ft Pierce, FL from 2-4pm on March 16th, 2024 – casual attire requested. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to honor Jim’s legacy of Charity Acres. Donations may be sent via PayPal to charityacres@gmail.com, and additional details can be obtained by contacting the family.

Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service in Fort Pierce, Florida, provides compassionate assistance to the family during this time of transition.
