PORT SAINT LUCIE

Jacqueline Mary Calzolano “Jackie” / “Gram” / “GG”

Jacqueline Mary Calzolano was born on July 16, 1936, in Astoria, New York, and passed away peacefully at her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on July 25, 2025, at 1:07 p.m., holding the hand of her beloved husband of 72 years. She was 89 years old.

A devoted member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Jackie lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was happiest when caring for her home — always cleaning, ironing, or cooking something wonderful for her loved ones. She also enjoyed traveling and treasured her Tuesday night bingo games, which filled her evenings with laughter and joy. Above all, her heart belonged to her family, and her greatest blessing was being “GG” to her cherished great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ella Bartels; her siblings, Charles Bartels Jr. (Eileen) and Luella Young (Arthur); and her daughter, Joanne Coutlangus.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, Giovanni D. Calzolano of Port St. Lucie, FL; her children, John A. Calzolano (LeaEtta) of Kingston, TN, and Jacklyn Calzolano of Cherokee, AL; and her grandchildren, Jacqueline Calzolano-Diaz (Jesse) of Ft. Pierce, FL; Jonathan Coutlangus (Jessica Bolt) of Jensen Beach, FL; Noel Calzolano of Naples, FL; and Peter Rubiera (Tajah) of Gainesville, FL. Her joy multiplied with her great-grandchildren: Gianna J. Manfredi of Kingston, TN; Giovanni P. Manfredi of Ft. Pierce, FL; and Ethan and Layla Rubiera of Gainesville, FL. She also leaves behind her brother, Bobby Bartels (Margie) of Howard Beach, NY, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jackie’s legacy is one of devotion, strength, and love. She created a home filled with warmth and faith, and her presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
