Guadalupe "Lupita" M. Gonzalez

Guadalupe “Lupita” M. Gonzalez, 103, of Fort Pierce, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on, April 15, 2023. Guadalupe was born on December 12, 1919 in her hometown of Cerralvo, Nuevo León, Mexico.
 
She was proceeded in death by her Parents, Benito Gonzalez and Melecia Montemayor and her Siblings, Reyes Montemayor, Matias Montemayor, Manuel Montemayor, Consuelo Montemayor, Paula Montemayor, Melecia Montemayor and Petra Montemayor. Her only living sibling, is her Brother, Benito “Jr.” Montemayor, 104 of Weslaco, Texas.
 
On October 22, 1939, in Tahoka, Texas, Guadalupe Montemayor married Augustin Gonzales (deceased). They traveled throughout the U.S. doing agricultural farm work in Texas, Michigan, Chicago and many other states, before settling down in Decatur, Indiana. A loving and devoted Wife and Mother, they welcomed 9 children (2 deceased as infants) and 7 (living). 
 
Guadalupe is survived by her children: Lydia, Augustin (Carolina), Robert (Josephine), Manuel (Juanita), David (Mariana), Reyes (Gloria), and Esperanza (Angel). Grandma Lupe was blessed with 30 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 46 great-great grandchildren. And, many nieces and nephews. She will lovingly be remembered as a women of great faith in Jesus. She taught all of her children and grandchildren to pray and the importance of prayer and knowing the Lord. She leaves a legacy of great faith, family, laughter and love. She meant so much to so many and will never be forgotten. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.
 
A service will be held at 11:00 AM this Friday, April 21, 2023 at Sunrise Tabernacle Church in Fort Pierce, FL. Senior Pastor, Tommy York will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at the Church (3280 South 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34981).
 
Lunch and refreshments to follow at the Church, after burial at White City Cemetery. All are welcome.
