In Loving Memory of Gregg Robert Bartlett
Gregg Bartlett, of Port St. Lucie, FL, a cherished father, devoted son, and beloved partner, passed away on February 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 62 years old.
Gregg was a man of simple pleasures and profound love. Born on October 30, 1961, he brought immense joy to those around him with his witty sense of humor and warm smile. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Gregg found solace and joy in various hobbies that defined his character and brought him closer to his loved ones. An avid fisherman, he found tranquility by the water's edge, casting his line and sharing stories with friends and family. His love for NASCAR races ignited a passion for speed and camaraderie, bonding with fellow enthusiasts over thrilling races and shared victories. In the winter months, Gregg's adventurous spirit led him to the slopes, where he embraced the thrill of skiing. Yet, amidst his active pursuits, Gregg also found joy in quiet moments, relishing the comfort of his favorite movies, oftentimes with his favorite snack, a full jar of pickles, at his side. A member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union for over 30 years, Gregg met lifelong friends through his work and was proud every day to be a part of this special and hardworking community.
At the heart of Gregg's world was his family, whom he cherished above all else. For 20 years, he shared a deep and steadfast love with his devoted partner Laura, creating a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Gregg's children, Alison and Ben, were the pride and joy of his life, and he found immense fulfillment in being their father. Gregg’s role as a grandfather brought him immeasurable joy, as he watched his granddaughters, Lily and Violet, grow and thrive, imparting upon them the same love and warmth that defined his character.
Gregg is survived by his loving partner, Laura Parmer; his children, Alison (Anthony) and Ben (Amanda); his cherished granddaughters, Lily and Violet; his mother, Pat; his stepfather, Keith; his brothers, Mark (Connie), Mitch (Mary), Jason (Jessica), Josh, and stepbrother Kevin (Nina); and his Aunt Nancy (Robert). He was preceded in death by his father, Larry, and his stepfather, Jack, whose memories he held dear.
A private celebration of Gregg's life will be held Sunday, March 3 at 12:30, at his mother’s house in Jensen Beach, to honor his legacy and share memories of a life well-lived. A separate celebration will be held in NY this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society, an organization close to Gregg's heart.
Though Gregg may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever remain a guiding light, illuminating the path of those who were blessed to know him.
