Grace Evangeline "Vange"
Cesarotti
May 1, 1933 — Jun 7, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Evangeline "Vange" Smith Cesarotti, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the age of 93 in Vero Beach, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Vange was born on May 1, 1933, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Reverend Lemon Durelle Smith and Hattie Mae Craig Smith. She was raised in Somerset, Kentucky, where she spent her childhood and formative years. She attended Nazarene College and later in life continued her education at Indian River State College. Eventually, she moved to Vero Beach, Florida, where she met her first husband, Larry McIver, and began raising her family.
Later, she moved to Boca Raton, where she met Joe Cesarotti, the love of her life. They shared 24 wonderful years of marriage filled with adventure, faith, and devotion. Together, they volunteered through their church, in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina, enjoyed annual trips to New York City, and fulfilled one of Vange's lifelong dreams when Joe took her to Paris.
Throughout her life, Vange was devoted to her family, her faith, her creativity, and her community. She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, impeccable style, sense of fashion, grace, and loving spirit.
A gifted seamstress and entrepreneur, Vange owned and operated Vange's Love, a clothing store in downtown Fort Pierce. She was also an accomplished tennis player and expressed her creativity in countless ways, particularly through cooking and entertaining. She was famous for her dinner parties, exceptional culinary talents, and treasured family recipes. Family and friends especially looked forward to her tea gatherings, homemade guacamole, margaritas, and Bloody Marys. Always one to celebrate life's blessings, she could often be found raising a glass of Prosecco among family and friends.
Vange was a woman of deep and abiding faith whose love, kindness, and devotion touched countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky McIver; her great-granddaughter, Emily Michelle Buster; and her sister, Pauline Black.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe Cesarotti; her sister, Miki Reynolds of Hudson, Ohio; her daughter, Joni Jill McIver Buster (Jeff); her son, Billy Ford McIver; her granddaughter, Jenny Lyn McClain (Jesse); her grandson, Jeffrey Buster Jr. (Chrissy); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Knox and Sloane McClain, and Blake, Jeffrey Buster III, and Issabella Buster. She also leaves behind many cherished relatives and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Jun 27th at Haisley Funeral Home Reception Center from 3p.m. to 5 p.m. and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Graceway Village.
Though Vange is no longer with us, her love, guidance, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
