Gloria Maria Rios, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in Palmetto Bay, Florida. She was born on December 9, 1959, in Havana, Cuba.

Gloria lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and devotion to her family. After immigrating to the United States, she built a successful career as a beautician in New Jersey, where she spent many years helping others look and feel their best. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail earned her the respect and affection of both her clients and colleagues.

Later, Gloria relocated to Florida, where she began a second career with Florida International University. She faithfully served the university community for many years, creating lasting friendships and making a positive impact on those around her through her commitment and caring spirit.

Gloria will be remembered for her strength, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and took great pride in the accomplishments and happiness of her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters, Diana Yamasaki (Jose) and Yvonne Sukovich; her brother, Humberto Rios (Michelle); her nephews, Warren DiLorenzo, Christopher Rios, and Steven Sukovich; and her nieces, Emily Yamasaki, Silvia Rockman, and Cristina Arndt.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Humberto and Gloria Rios; her brother, Ralph Rios; and her niece, Marissa Munroe.

Though Gloria's presence will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, perseverance, and love for family will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

May she rest in eternal peace.
