Gerald Davis "Jerry" Davis, born September 7, 1946, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away January 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Emily Armstrong Davis and Homer Abel Davis.
He moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, in 1955, where he spent most of his life and built deep roots in the community.
He was married to Judith Ann Kephart for 29 years, and together they raised two children, Gregory Davis and Brenda Davis Mendes. Jerry was a proud father and grandfather and is survived by his son Greg and wife Sheryl Davis of Fort Pierce, his daughter Brenda and husband Joseph of Fort Pierce, and his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa Ellwood and Nicholas Mendes.
He is also survived by his sister, Jone Davis Noble of Foley, Alabama.
His loving friend, Lois Danzo of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Jerry graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Pierce in 1964. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1967-1969, with service in Korea and Georgia.
Following his military service, Jerry enjoyed and long and successful career with Pratt and Whitney, where he worked for 35 years as an electrical engineer before retiring.
Growing up, Jerry was active in the Boy Scouts and achieved its highest honor, Eagle Scout- an accomplishment that reflected the values of leadership, service, and integrity that guided his life. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus in Fort Pierce.
Guided by his Catholic faith, Jerry lived a life of service and love. Through his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, he faithfully served God and community for many years. He now enters eternal rest, trusting in the promise of Christ's resurrection and welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and reunited with those who have gone before him.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM, at Haisley Funeral Home located at 3015 Okeechobee Rd. Fort Pierce with a wake to follow at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anastasia Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
