Georgette Louise Hill, who would have been 104 years old on April 28th, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was born on April 28, 1922, in Montreal, Canada to Flynn and Marie Louise Chamberlain.
Georgette made her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she resided for the past 21 years. A woman of vibrant spirit and enduring faith, she was a member of Morningside Church, where she found joy, fellowship, and spiritual strength, and lasting friendships.
In her younger years, Georgette attended High School in Rutland, Vermont. One of her first jobs were at Greenfield Tap and Die. She fondly remembered getting 6th place in the Miss Vermont Contest, that her mother entered her into without her knowledge.
Georgette had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. She found inspiration in the teachings of Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer, and she enjoyed watching her favorite television programs including Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Professional Wrestling, and the wildlife programs of Jack Hanna, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and the Bronx Zoo. Above all, Georgette truly loved shopping — a pastime that brought her great happiness throughout her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Marla Crane, Moira Latos, and Tara Whitten, all of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her grandchildren David Carlson of California, Amber Carlson of Massachusetts, Nik Carlson of Maine, Tiffany Smith, Bobby Smith, and Jayson Smith of Massachusetts; and her great-grandchildren Zoe and Kai Carlson of California, Kyle LaPointe of Massachusetts, and Kaylyn of Massachusetts.

Georgette will be remembered for her strong faith, her loving devotion to family, her lively personality, and her enduring enthusiasm for life’s simple joys. Her warmth, resilience, and spirited nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Haisley Tribute Center located at 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34984 Friday, February 27, 2026, from 3:00-3:30 pm with a service immediately after at 3:30 pm.
