George M. Yenchko, 84, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Susan Mehall Yenchko.
Born July 28, 1941, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He made Hazleton his home until retirement and relocated to Fort Pierce, Florida in 2012.
George was the proud owner/president of Hazleton Plumbing Heating & Supply Company for 37 years before retirement. Through his dedication and strong work ethic, he built not only a successful business but lasting relationships within the community he loved.
He was an avid auto racing fan, deeply involved in his church and civic life. At SS. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church in Hazleton, George faithfully served as council president, president of the youth group, and president of the church cemetery. After moving to Florida, George continued his commitment in faith and service as an elder of Trinity Lutheran Church of Fort Pierce. He was also a member of Elks Lodge 1520.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Angeline F. “Angie” Yenchko; three Godchildren, Heather Russell of Florida, Tiffany Rapciewicz of Pennsylvania, and Jennifer Schwab of Illinois, along with a multitude of close-knit cousins with whom he shared a bond of friendship and brotherhood, including vast childhood/adult adventures with immense love and continued laughter.
He is also survived by his son, George William Yenchko and his grandson, Zachary Yenchko.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Pierce at a later date. Interment will take place at SS. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
