Gaspar I. Ortiz, 84, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away May 26, 2022.
Gaspar, better known as “Papa,” was born July 14, 1937 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to Angel Ortiz and Fidela Pineiro. He married the love of his life, Cecilia Camacho, December 3, 1960 in New York, New York.
Gaspar worked at Walmart for over 25 years before retiring. Gaspar also retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance. Gaspar loved baseball, Spanish music, dancing, singing, vintage cars.
Gaspar was a beloved husband, father, brother, and Papa. He was his children’s biggest cheerleader and supporter. Nothing came before family.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Cecilia; his daughters, Yvonne Soto and Cedelinda Velez, and son, Ivany Ortiz; his granddaughters, Evelyn Soto, and Ara Velez; grandsons, John, Jake, and Jordan Ortiz, as well as Jose Soto. Sisters, Daisy Atoa and Nilsa Ortiz will also miss Gaspar.
Services will be held by the family at a later date.
