Garret Ooley, 20, died March 7, 2026 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Garret was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida. He worked for Environmental Land Development and enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, muddin’, and shooting. Garret loved causing a little mayhem with his buddies, aggravating his sister, and keeping his mom and dad on their toes—turning their hair grey faster than they ever expected.

Survivors include his mother, Tiffany Blanton of Fort Pierce, FL; father, Fred (Salena) Ooley, Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Clint (Krystal) Ooley of Vero Beach, FL; sisters, Elise (Michael) O’Hagan of Fort Pierce, FL and Kristina Buckner of Vero Beach, FL; step-sisters, Hannah (Joseph) Bologna and Lindsay Storey, both of Fort Pierce, FL; maternal grandparents, Kim (Justin) Willis of Fort Pierce, FL and Timothy (Kay) Blanton of Gainesboro, TN; paternal grandparents, Fred C. (Loretta) Ooley, Sr. of Fort Pierce, FL and Elizabeth Gilbert of Union City, OH; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bobby Gilbert, great-great-grandfathers, JB Ooley and Phillip Hopkins, great-great-grandmother, Francis Ooley and uncle, Bobby Hopkins, Sr.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Discovery Church, 4441 S. 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to join us for a potluck luncheon to share food, fellowship, and memories at The Barn at Palmetto Flats, 401 Tindall Way, Fort Pierce, FL 34945.
