Fritzroy Miller

August 20, 1946 — April 5, 2025

Port St. Lucie, FL

Fritzroy G. Miller,78, died April 5, 2025 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Mr. Miller was born in Jamaica on August 20, 1946 to Samuel & Alma Miller. He moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2006.

Fritzroy was a heavy-duty diesel mechanic who loved gardening, reading the bible, going to church, and loved spending time with family.

Attempting to describe a man like Uncle Fritz, is like trying to fill a bath tub with water, using a teaspoon - VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!

He was a dedicated servant of God who truly exhibited caring, Christ - like attributes of kindness, faithfulness, patience and joy . He was a peace loving person... always focus- driven, always business - like in his approach and boy - was he a stickler for time!

Uncle Fritz was not like a father to me - he was a Father to me. I sat often listening to his Godly and wise council on how to maneuver life in a world gone crazy. Without failing, all my visits would be sealed with prayers of protection.

Uncle Fritz was all about family (his church family not excluded). This is a man who, after 53 years of marriage loved his wife - LOUISE, up to the end - like he did at first sight. These are not my words - expressly his words to me - "I have no regrets." He recounts his life with her over the years - lovingly. Hence, it did not surprise me when I observed her remarkable level of dedication as she lovingly advocated for him and tirelessly cared for him to the last minute - challenging as it had become. They lived out their marriage vow - FOR BETTER - FOR WORSE, literally.

I could write a book re my encounters with Uncle Fritz but sadly, this cannot be accommodated in this forum.

As his son, Kevin once said, "Dad often speaks to you in parables but once you decipher, you find that his advice is chock - filled with wisdom."

As I recall, the first time that I heard the expression, " I'm drinking from the saucer," was from Uncle Fritz. During one of the most challenging times throughout his illness, I had called to check in on him. So I greeted him then asked, " So, how are you doing?" His response was, " Girl, I'm drinking from the saucer. " It took me a little while to figure out what he meant but when I did, I just amazed me that despite his almost unbearable health challenges, he was more focused on God's blessings toward him - overflowing from the cup of his life to the saucer. To me, that was so profound . Immediately, I realized that I had no business complaining.

It would be remiss of me to conclude this tribute without inviting you to help me to raise an applause to Uncle Fritz's wife, immediate family and his church family for their unwavering love, care, support and prayers extended to my Uncle, my Dad.

Uncle Fritz - Rest Peacefully.
