Elouise Picklesimer

March 20, 1934 — March 2, 2024

Elouise Picklesimer, 89, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, passed away on March 2, 2024, in Hospice of Dayton.

Elouise was born on March 20, 1934, in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Andrew and Mayme (LeMaster) Rowe.

After growing up in Paintsville, the daughter of a coal miner, Elouise married the love of her life, Hansel, on March 18, 1950, and shortly thereafter moved to Marysville, Ohio. Elouise would also proudly work for the state of Florida for several years, as a food and fuel inspector for the Florida Turnpike and for Sunrise Country Daycare.

In her free time, Elouise enjoyed camping and traveling with Hansel in their motorhome, as well as quilting, sewing, playing cards, and painting. She was also a devout Christian, and formerly attended both the Ft. Pierce and Sebastian Churches of Christ. More than anything, however, Elouise particularly loved spending time with her family and all her grandchildren.

Elouise is survived by her son, Gary (Janet) Picklesimer; daughters, Deborah (Joe Kules) Boyer, Joyce (Don) Allan, and Lisa (Steve) Castle; grandchildren, Shane Picklesimer, Stephen (Colleen) Boyer and Wayne (Laurie) Boyer, Ruth Barton, Amy Allan, Linda (Joe) Ward, Justin (Sami) Sloan, Danny (Emilee) Allbritton, Laura Fallin and Chris Fallin ; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Wilda Castle; in-laws, Linda Picklesimer and Willis Picklesimer; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Harry Hansel Picklesimer; her parents; sisters, Neva Jewel Van Hoose and Mary Frances Ward; and granddaughter, Nicole Sloan.
