Douglas A. Chura, 62, died on April 4, 2024 in Fort Pierce, Florida due to health complications from his 10 year battle with cancer. 

Mr. Chura was born in Troy, New York and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.  

Douglas graduated from Watervliet High School, Kaiser University and studied at Alfred University. He worked for Bonded Concrete, Primerica financial services, and retired from Callahan industries. 

He was a member of First Bible Baptist Church.  Douglas found value in everyone and everything.  He loved fishing, working on anything mechanical, and helping others. 

Survivors include: children, Christopher Chura of Parrish, FL, Heather Chura of Oakland Park, FL, Brittany Chura of Fort Peirce, FL, and Joshua (Mari) Chura of Pompano Beach, FL, his sister Debra (Wes) Marshall of Troy, NY; and his grandchildren. 

He was preceded by his mother Lois Chura Donovan, father, Donald Chura, & wife, Beverly Chura. 

The celebration of life will be held at First Bible Baptist Church, 4335 NY-150, West Sand Lake, NY 12196, May 31, 2024, from 4:30 PM-7:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
