Donald Timothy McGee, Sr., known to most as Tim, passed away on June 21, 2026, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, at the age of 81, leaving behind a world that was genuinely better for having known him.
Tim was born on March 24, 1945 to Donald Leo McGee and Wilma Jean Rowe in Paulding, OH and attended Paulding High School. Following high school, Tim served in the United States Navy and later settled in Cleveland, Ohio, where he married Judy Gresham and had three children: Lori, Donald Jr. and Lisa.
Tim worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an Air Traffic Controller for over 30 years. Following retirement, Tim made his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he spent countless days on the golf course; one of his greatest passions that he approached with a healthy competitive spirit.
Tim leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his children, Lori (Randy) Johnson, Donald McGee Jr., and Lisa (Ronald) Bellamy; his grandchildren, Cameron Lawson, Cailyn Lawson, Sanai Bellamy, Aya Bellamy, and Elijah Bellamy; his sisters, Jennifer (Juan) Rodriquez, Kathleen Hall, Cheryl Ewing-White, and Donna Chandler; his brothers, James McGee and Daniel McGee; his companion, Marilyn Dawson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Leo McGee and Wilma Jean Rowe Hill, by his sister, Susan Vivian McGee Martin, and brother, Victor Leroy McGee.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Paulding, Ohio. Additional details forthcoming.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes heartfelt letters, photographs, and video messages celebrating Tim’s life and the memories shared with him.
Fair winds and following seas, Tim. After a lifetime of service—on the water, in the air, and to those you loved—you have been cleared for your final departure.
