Dolores Purchase

Dolores Purchase, 83 years old, born in Fall River, MA, peacefully passed at Treasure Coast Hospice Center in Fort Pierce, FL on January 26th, surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Pastor Douglas Purchase of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters Donna Rebello of Westport, MA; Deborah and her husband Michael Farias of Fall River, MA and stepdaughter Kimberly Mardiros of Livonia, MI; grandchildren John Marsden III, Holly Regis, Leigh-Anne DeFontes, Rachel Macdonald, Luke Farias and their spouses. She is also survived by other step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and brother in-laws and friends all of who will miss her dearly.

Dolores is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Josephine Furtado; William Kenneth Dupont, husband of 53 years; her grandson Tanner Paquet; son in law Steven Rebello and sisters and brother in law.

After graduating from BMC Durfee High School and Diman Regional Vocational School she went on to pursue a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse to which she dedicated herself for over 40 years in various operating room settings.

Dolores was a devoted parishioner at Grace Missions and Sunrise Tabernacle in Fort Pierce, FL.

She was a pillar of strength and support for her family and friends, always there to offer guidance, love and a smile that could light up any room. She had many passions in life, including arts & crafts, traveling and people watching.

To celebrate Dolores’ life a visitation will be held on Friday, January 30th, from 12pm-1pm with a funeral service starting at 1pm at Sunrise Tabernacle Church, located at 3280 S. 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. A repast will be immediately following at the Love Center located at 907 N. 13th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.

Dolores will return to her eternal resting place in Fall River, MA and a final viewing, which friends and family are welcome to attend, will take place at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5th from 5 - 8 pm located at 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, MA 02720. Inurnment will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.
