Dolores (Kelly) Holly passed peacefully at her home in Port St Lucie, Fl on Friday, November 14th, 2025. Born on May 26th, 1937, Dolores lived most of her life in and around Sussex County, NJ. She was a 1955 graduate of Roxbury High School. In 1962 she married James Holly and they built their forever home at Lake Lackawanna where they raised their family.
A stay-at-home Mom for a number of years for her young children, Dolores was involved in many child-related community activities, including schoolroom mother, Girl Scout troop leader and organizing and running fun summer programs at the Lake. Rejoining the workforce in 1973, Dolores enjoyed a 30-year career with M&M Mars, retiring in 2002. In retirement, she was an avid golfer, having had that rare golfing feat of a Hole-in-One at the Rolling Green Golf Club at age 75. Dolores enjoyed travel, going to Ireland, France, Greece, and Spain usually with her daughter Laura, she especially loved going to Cody, WY to spend time with her son Bill and his family, and playing golf and mahjong with her daughter Kathleen. She was an avid reader, and Dolores especially enjoyed escaping the cold winters of New Jersey to Jensen Beach FL.
She was predeceased by her husband of six decades, Jim, her brother Richard Kelly, Sr., and very close personal friends Bud and Sue Koch. Dolores is survived by her three children, Laura Jablonski (Donald) of Salt Lake City, UT, Kathleen Wolf (Lance) of Orr’s Island, Maine and Port St Lucie, Florida, and William Holly (Johanna) of Cody, WY, as well as her four grandchildren Laura Holly Goodman (Ryan), Seth Fiderer, Evan Fiderer, and Kelly Holly. Her step grandchildren and step great grandchildren include Katherine Jablonski (Dan Pearson), Ed Orr (Cecily) and their children Jersey, Aston and Olivia, Alexis Swearingen (Jake) and their children Liam, Adeline and Alana, Tara McCarthy, Thomas Wolf and his daughter Holly, and John Wolf (Amy) and their children Finley and Liam.
Dolores will be returned to NJ to rest in peace with Jim at Stanhope Union Cemetery. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
