April 14, 1963 — July 31, 2025

Fort Pierce

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Angela Nemai Ramkissoon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Debra passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and grace that will continue to live on in all who knew her.

Born on April 14, 1963, on Beach Road in Palo Seco, Trinidad and Tobago, Debra was the cherished daughter of Grace and her surviving father Samuel, and a loving sister to Conrad (Hiup), surviving Ambrose (Papa), Markie, and Gillian. She was a proud member of a large and loving extended family that includes the Nemai, Fraser, Samlal, Hamilton, and Bourne families.

Debra was the devoted wife of Roland Ramkissoon and the proud, nurturing mother of Roland, Russel, Larry, and Sachiel. She was the sweetest and most loving grandmother to Layla and Roman, who brought immense joy to her heart. To many others, Debra was a second mother, always ready to offer comfort, wisdom, and kindness. Her presence was a quiet anchor for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graduate of Siparia Senior Comprehensive High School, Debra started her professional journey at TruValu in Trinidad. She later became a respected business owner in Santa Flora, where she led with humility, compassion, and a warm smile that made everyone feel welcome. Her business was more than a workplace—it was a pillar in the community.

After relocating to Fort Pierce, Florida, Debra continued her life of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the Garden of Port St. Lucie. Her deep empathy and gentle care made her a beloved figure in the lives of her patients and colleagues alike.

Debra was also known for her many talents—she was a remarkable cook and baker, whose meals and treats brought comfort and togetherness to family and friends. She loved to dance, and her joyful spirit lit up every room she entered.

She gave selflessly, loved wholeheartedly, and lived gracefully. Her warmth, laughter, and strength will be remembered always.
