Darrell Lew Green

Darrell Lew Green passed away on July 23, 2025. Just one day after his 66th birthday.

Darrell was born and raised in Fort Pierce. Darrell had three siblings, Rhonda Gay, Frank ‘Chipper’ Green, Robert Green and one half-brother Larry

Green. He grew up working on cars and being surrounded by family. Darrell met the love of his life in 1977 while working at the old Fort Pierce Hospital. They later married in 1978. They had two children, a son, Darrell A Green and a daughter, Amanda M. (Green) Wheaton.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents Aarron & Viola Green, his sister, Rhonda Gay and brother, Frank ‘Chipper’ Green, as well as his wife Vickey Green.

Darrell is survived by his brother Robert Green, his half-brother Larry Green, son Darrell A. Green and his wife Stephanie Green, daughter, Amanda M. (Green) Wheaton and her husband Thomas Wheaton, granddaughters Shelby Green, Katie Green, Jessica Wheaton, and Rebecca Wheaton.

Darrell was a kind man, devoted father and grandfather, always putting the needs of others above his own. He spent his working years as a well driller, briefly dabbling in other trades. Darrell was always there to support his kids and grandkids. He was an amazing dad and a wonderful Pappaw to his grand girls, he will be missed beyond measure. Although he fought a hard fight, it was time to go home to Our Lord.

There will be a service held at the AMVETS Post #15 located at 2024 US Hwy1 in Fort Pierce on Saturday Aug 2, 2025 from 1-5 PM.
