Danny Siegel

Danny Siegel, 85, of Fort Pierce, FL passed away on June 17, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born June 26, 1940 in Staten Island, NY. Dan lived a life defined by service and kindness.

Danny graduated from Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, New York, where he excelled in all sports. He was a proud United States Army Veteran who honorably served his country. His service reflected dedication and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life.

During his time overseas with the military, he met his wife of 62 years, Hedwig Siegel.

Upon returning to the United States, he worked for the NYC Dept of Sanitation climbing to the ran of Borough Superintendent.

He was a 20-year survivor of a heart transplant; he realized the gift he received and honored his donor every day.

He enjoyed playing golf as a member of the Indian Hills Golf Course, and also really enjoyed basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Hedwig, daughter, Olympia and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Siegel and sister, Olympia E. Siegel.

A gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 4:00-5:00 PM with memorial service with military honors at 5:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
