Dale “Chris” Jenkins, 60, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away on August 24, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Chris was a proud graduate of Fort Pierce Westwood High School, where he played football for the Panthers and was an active member of the FFA. He worked faithfully for Vulcan Materials, Inc. for 40 years and also served part-time at Haisley Funeral Home.

Chris was a devoted member and deacon of Orange Avenue Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, cooking, boating, fishing, hunting, and walking along the Fort Pierce Jetty. His kind spirit, hard work, and devotion to his faith and family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marie “Melena” Jenkins; children, Caleb Jenkins, Moriah Harris, Bethany Bryant, Cherith Jenkins, and Eden Jenkins, all of Fort Pierce, FL; grandsons; Henry Harris, Benjamin Bryant and Tommy Harris; sisters, Debbie Smith of Ormond Beach, FL, Denise Pickett of Finger, TN, and Laressa Jenkins of Adamsville, TN; and brother, Joe Jenkins of Fort Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Doyle Jenkins and Shirley Rowe Lowery; sister, Janet Newton; brother, Doyle Jenkins, Jr.; and sister, Tina Massey.

Memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s honor to Orange Avenue Baptist Church.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Orange Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, Florida.
