Connie Camley

Constance “Connie” Camley, 88, of Ft Pierce, FL, formerly of Moosup, CT, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family April 27th. Connie was the daughter of Jean and Lillian Gauthier and the beloved wife of Harland Camley for 46 years. She was a devoted mother to four children: Michelle, Linda, Phillip, and Judith as well as 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Connie worked at Electric Boat in Groton for almost 20 years, as a first class electronics mechanic on nuclear submarines. Connie was incredibly proud of her work at EB and she had a reputation for excellence. Connie enjoyed telling stories of her travels when EB sent her to work off site on submarines located around the world. Her trips to Scotland were her favorite.

Connie and her husband were blessed with a long retirement in Golden Ponds Park in Florida. They enjoyed years of social activities with the many friends that they made. She was an avid bowler, and played bingo and cards regularly.

Connie will be remembered for her warm spirit, quick wit, and the love she shared with family and friends.
