Cody Deane Cardin, born March 20, 1992, in Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away on May 12, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 33.
Cody lived life with passion, purpose, and an infectious sense of wonder. From an early age, he embraced the world with open arms and a curious spirit, enriching the lives of all who knew him. He found joy in the arts and the outdoors—immersing himself in theater, painting, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, and horseback riding. He was a tireless advocate for environmental conservation and deeply committed to protecting the beauty of the world he loved to explore.
A proud graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 2011, Cody went on to earn a Master of Medical Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Global Sustainability from the University of South Florida. His academic and professional accomplishments were a reflection of his sharp intellect and deep commitment to improving the world through both innovation and compassion.
Cody’s love for travel and diverse cultures fueled his global perspective, and his kind, thoughtful nature made him a cherished friend, son, and colleague. His artistic soul, generous heart, and adventurous spirit leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those he touched.
Survivors include his mother, Carrie Cardin (Ron Nichols), of Fort Pierce, FL, brother, Jimmy Cardin (Mandy), of Vero Beach, FL, half brother, Ryan (Maria) Garza of Avon Park, FL, nieces and nephew, Shayna, Shelby and Creed Cardin, nana, Nancy Williams, of Fort Pierce, FL, grandparents, Helene and Charles Jardine, of Fort Pierce, FL, uncles, Charles Jardine (Darlene), of Fort Pierce, FL and Kevin Jardine (Rennie), of Fellsmere, FL, aunts, Laraine Cardin (Jeff Curry), of Lakeland, FL and Lisa Collison, of Fort Pierce, FL and partner, Mark McNabb, of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Cardin, great-grandparents, Hazel and Elmer Case, uncle, Duke Williams, great-grandparents, Bill and Melicent Collison, great-grandmother, Lena Powell, and great-great-grandmother, Helen White.
To honor Cody’s memory, his mother has requested that the funeral home be filled with orchids—his favorite flower and a symbol of the rare beauty he brought into the world.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 5-6 PM with a prayer service starting at 6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Please wear blue in Cody’s memory.
