Cheryl Marie Rivaldo Schozer

Cheryl Marie Rivaldo Schozer, lovingly known as “Cherie,” passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, after a long and courageous battle with health issues. She was born on July 5, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Cherie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose warmth and love touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, David Schozer of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her daughter, Amy (Daniel) Trumble; her son, Kenneth Zimmerman, both of Ohio; her cherished grandchildren, Zander of Pennsylvania and Hannah of Ohio; and her loving parents, Nathan and Joyce Rivaldo of Port St. Lucie, Florida. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie (Mark) Burrough of Melbourne, Florida, and Michelle (Oliver) Nesmith of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Cherie had a deep love for palm trees, dolphins, and the simple joys of life, but nothing meant more to her than her children and grandchildren, who were truly her world. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her strength, and the love she gave so freely.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Cherie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
