Charles L. Nunes, known as Charlie and Gramps, 86, of Jensen Beach, FL passed away on March 6, 2024.
Charlie was born on January 4, 1938 to parents Clarence and Laura in New Bedford, Ma.
Charles met the love of his life Jacquelyn, and made her junior prom one to remember by proposing. They danced the night away. Shortly after their engagement, they were married on July 8, 1959. They raised their three sons in Dartmouth, Ma. Charlie pursued a career in the family business and later became the president of Sea View Fillet. After 20 successful years, he retired and they became snow birds in Florida, with a flock of their friends. They always talked about retiring to the beach and that is just what they did.
Everyone who knew Charlie knew he loved a good time, he and his wife were the hit of any party! Whether it was on a dock in Cuttyhunk, or jumping in with a band to play the drums, he was always up for a good time.
He was pre-deceased, by his parents his sister Teresa Dall and his youngest son, Chad Nunes.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Jacquelyn J. Nunes, their two sons Eric and Curtis and wife Luisa. Three granddaughters Erica, Ellesse, and Taylor. One step grandson Wayne. Two great grandchildren Herbert (little Charlie) and Lena.
Memorial services to pay tribute to his life will be held later in the year.
