Charles “Charlie” Bean
Charles “Charlie” Bean, 84, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born in Bracken County, raised in Lewisburg, Kentucky, Charlie later made his home in Fort Pierce. At just 17 years old, he proudly joined the United States Air Force after graduating from Orangeburg High School in Kentucky and he later completed some college during his service.
A hardworking and self-made man, Charlie was the founder and owner of Bean Dry Wall, a business he built from the ground up. A devoted Miami Dolphins fan and a lifelong supporter of University of Kentucky basketball, Charlie’s heart always remained in his Kentucky roots. He cherished returning to his hometown, reconnecting with familiar faces, and attending family and high school reunions, which brought him great joy throughout his life.
Charlie is survived by his children, Brian (Brianna) Bean, Roy Bean, Timothy (Karen) Bean, Derek Bean, Walter Bean, and Rachael (Michael) Vossen; his sister, Anne (Tawfig) Chihade; and 26 beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles I. and Tabithia Mae Bean; his children, Kimberly Bean and Allan Bean; and his siblings, Thomas (Judith) Bean and Mona Bean.
Services: A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
