Through his employment of 100's of people through the years, he was first and foremost a teacher of the craft, always taking to time to show his employees a better method.

Charlie was a devoted Miami Dolphins football fan, owning season tickets for many years. Attending games was a always a joy for him. But Kentucky was never far from his mind. His biggest love in sports was always the University of Kentucky basketball team. He cherished returning to his hometown of Maysville, reconnecting to familiar faces, attending family and high school reunions, or just going back to his childhood barber shop. Going back home always brought great joy throughout his life.
