Kennedy
Oct 3, 1950 — Oct 12, 2026
Sebring, Florida
Clarence Blake Kennedy, affectionately known as Blake, 76, passed away on October 12, 2026, in Sebring, Florida. Born on October 3, 1950, in Burlington, North Carolina, Blake lived a life filled with adventure, love, and a passion for the open water.
Blake attended Madeira Beach Junior High School in Madeira Beach, Florida, and graduated from Seminole High School in 1968. He continued his education at Georgia Tech, earning a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering, and later received his Juris Doctor from Woodrow Wilson College of Law.
An avid sailor, golfer, and scuba diver, Blake had a deep appreciation for the ocean and the freedom it offered. As a PADI-certified diver, he enjoyed exploring the beauty beneath the water's surface just as much as he loved sailing above it. Blake fulfilled a lifelong dream of living aboard a sailboat, spending 18 wonderful years exploring and residing among various islands throughout the Caribbean. The last nine years of his life were spent in Grenada, a place he and his wife, Lisa, called home.
Blake and Lisa were married in 2008 in Grand Cayman, beginning a beautiful chapter of life together filled with adventure and unforgettable memories.
Above all, Blake was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of the sea, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family.
Blake is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa of Grenada, Florida; his sister, Susan Holloway of Sebring, Florida; his sons, David Kennedy of Savannah, Georgia, and Heath Spasiano of Raeford, North Carolina; six granddaughters; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hoyt Kennedy, in 1999, and his mother, Anna Jean Kennedy, in 2025.
Blake lived life on his own terms, following his dreams and embracing the adventures that came his way. His love for his family and the ocean will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
