Billie Jo “Granny” Bobo, 85, died August 30, 2023 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Bobo was born in Grundy, Virginia  and resided in Vero Beach, Florida.

Billie Jo graduated from Dan McCarty High School, Fort Pierce. She was an animal lover but especially fond of birds. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, crafting, but enjoyed making holidays special for those she loved. 

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Lynn (Richard) Wolkowsky of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Debra Regina Story of Vero Beach, FL; son, John  Walter (Janet) Bobo, Jr.; brother, Steve Wright of Delray Beach, FL; sister, Joy (Al) Bernado of Fort Pierce, FL; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Bobo, Sr., father, Charles P. Van Dyke, mother, Gertrude Barrow, and brother, Charles Van Dyke. 

Family would like to thank the nurses on the 3^rd and 5^th floors of Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and VNA Hospice for their loving care of mom through this difficult time. 

Services:  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 PM with a service to follow at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Inurnment will follow at White City Cemetery.  Intimate reception for family and friends will follow.
