Bettie L. John, 88, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away in Fort Pierce, Florida on October 29, 2021.
Bettie was born in 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to Louis and Lourinda (Ross) Bowman. She was employed by BellSouth Communications, and attended the College of Dupage in Glen Ellen, Illinois.
In Bettie’s youth she participated in modeling and figure skating. In later years she loved bird watching- the cardinal being her favorite, listened to traditional pop easy listening jazz, and regularly watched Pastor Dr. David Jeremiah preach the Word.
Survivors include: daughter Janet Shryock of Port St. Lucie; son Richard Shryock and his wife Pamela (Walter) Shryock of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Bonnie Adkins of Rockledge, FL; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the USA. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank John.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 1:30PM at Sunlight Community Church, 477 SW Cashmere Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986.
