Anthony Stephen Kuchta 95 years of age / Ft. Pierce Florida, passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2026 in his home in Ocean Village - Florida surrounded by family members.

Tony Kuchta was born on April 18th, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to Stephen and Marion Kuchta. He grew up in Belleville Michigan and graduated from Belleville High School in 1949 where he was the captain of the Football team.

He married the love of his life, MaryLee Virginia Schaffer on September 17th, 1949 in Belleville Michigan and shared a beautiful marriage of 72 years & raised a large and loving family blessed with 8 children, 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Tony was a graduate of University of Michigan and a member of Pi Tau Sigma, Tau Beta Pi and Alpha Sigma Lambda.

He worked as an Engineer for 36 years and continued to climb the corporate ladder at Ford Motor Company where he achieved the Executive position of Advanced Engineering and Technology (including overseas assignments in Brazil and England).

Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who cherished every moment with his family.

He was also known for his amazing qualities of strong faith, intelligence, patience, kindness, sense of humor, wisdom, work ethic and his ability to adapt to many different circumstances.

Tony & MaryLee traveled to nearly 100 countries, often spending time with family and friends around the world.

He remained totally independent, active and engaged with family well into the last few days of his life.

Tony was preceded in death by his son Tony Kuchta Jr., Jeffrey Kuchta, and his loving wife MaryLee Virginia Kuchta.

Tony Kuchta is survived by:

1. Their 6 children: Christine, Eileen, Bradley, Joanne, Michelle and James
2. 17 grandchildren
3. 10 great-grandchildren
4. His Sister Rosemary Otzman

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 11:00AM - Notre Dame Catholic Church in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice in honor of a life well lived and a marriage that stood the test of time.
