Anthony Nakelski, 72, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1954, in Manhasset, New York, to Barbara and Anthony Nakelski.

Anthony graduated from Schreiber High School in Port Washington, New York, in 1972. He went on to build a long and successful career in the technology field, working for 43 years as an IT Manager with Publishers Clearing House in Port Washington, New York. His dedication, knowledge, and commitment to his work were an important part of his professional life.

On September 19, 1981, Anthony married the love of his life, Monica. Together, they shared 44 years of marriage filled with love, companionship, and countless memories. Anthony was a devoted husband who cherished the life they built together.

An avid golfer, Anthony enjoyed spending time on the course and was a member of PGA in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He also had a passion for long-range target shooting and took great pride in his accomplishments in the sport. In 2025, he achieved the distinction of NRA Record High Master, a testament to his skill, dedication, and years of commitment to target shooting.

Anthony will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Monica Nakelski of Port St. Lucie, Florida; his sister, Bonnie Davison of Port Washington, New York; and his mother, Barbara Nakelski of Port Washington, New York.

He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Nakelski, in 1970.

Anthony leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, accomplishment, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Anthony’s memory.
