Andre Jores Nicolas

October 31, 1951 — July 16, 2022

Andre Jores Nicolas passed away peacefully from this life the morning of July 16, 2022. He was surrounded and supported by his lovely wife, Yolande and his caring sister, Carmelle throughout his sickness until the last days of his life.

Andre was born in Cayes, Haiti on October 30, 1951 to Murtho and Rose Anne Nicolas. He was married to his wife, Yolande on May 24, 1997 in Spring Valley, New York.

He was a car mechanic for many years as well as the family and friends’ personal mechanic. He had many friends and was always willing to help; whether he needed to drive them to the airport, food shopping, hospital visits, doctor office, ect, he never said no. He had a charisma that matched no other. He was the clown in the family and had a nickname for everyone; his youngest brother Gardy AKA Gros Bouki, his youngest sister, Chantal AKA Zoome.

Andre met Yolande, the love of his life, using his considerable charm he convinced her to give him a chance. Andre and Yolande had a splendid, selfless love. Their union was inspiring and blessed by heaven. Andre was a caring husband, a wonderful father, brother, and uncle. He was a great trustworthy and humble friend, confidante, and supporter. He was always giving of himself and was content in life. He was also a great storyteller.

He was a member of Saint Lucie Catholic church for many years. Andre was employed with the West Palm Beach Newspapers until his retirement in 2019.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted and loving wife, Yolande Eveillard Nicolas; beloved son, Andre Jores Ralph Nicolas and his mother, Jesula Mesinien of France; his brother, Gardy Nicolas; sisters, Nicole Nicolas, Myrtha Nicolas, Carmelle Nicolas, Nancy Nicolas, Edwidge Germain, Claudie Biassou, Carline Nicolas, Chantal Cleophat, and Marie Eugene; sister-in-law, Hilda Chatelain; brothers in-law, Vely Veillard, Franco Veillard, Jean Claude Chatelain, Wesner Biassou, Heneck Samedy, and Alix Cleophat.
