FT. PIERCE, FL – Andre J. Dostie, 80, of Colebrook, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Lawnwood Medical Center in Ft. Pierce, Fla., after a period of failing health.
He was born in Sawyerville, Quebec, on March 28, 1941, a son to the late Joseph and Raymonde (Champagne) Dostie.
Andy’s career was spent as a truck driver, working at one or more times for many of the local logging companies, including for Rueben Washburn, for his son, Donald, and several others. He also helped his wife in the operating of their retail business in Colebrook, Dostie’s Furniture, for many years. In retirement, Andy continued to love driving, as he would often go back and forth from Florida and New Hampshire, and he helped Patrick Bennett in moving camper RVs all around the country.
Andre truly loved his family and he loved his God.
He leaves behind his two sons, Denis (Chantal) Dostie of Stewartstown, and Donald Dostie of Colebrook; and his granddaughter, Natalie.
Andre is predeceased by his wife, Louisa (Sage) Dostie in 2015, and two grandsons, Adrien D. and Andre D. Dostie.
There are no public calling hours. Andre will be privately interred and laid to rest with his wife in St. Brendan’s Catholic Cemetery in Colebrook.
