Alfred “Bobby” Cecil Tyner, Sr., was born on June 2, 1936 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was the oldest of six children to the parents of Cecil R. Tyner and Helen A. McKinney Tyner and attended Dan McCarty High School.
He was married and had six beautiful children.
In the late 1950’s, he worked as a surveyor for General Development in St. Lucie, Martin and Charlotte counties and then Metric Constructors, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina moving up to the position of Area Superintendent. He loved working in the building and construction field and traveled all over the southeastern United States working on large projects for over twenty years.
After retiring from the construction business, he returned to his hometown, Fort Pierce.
Throughout his life enjoyed building projects, fishing, gardening, photography, and spending time with his family and friends.
On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Alfred “Bobby” Cecil Tyner, Sr. passed away surrounded by his family. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Cecil R. Tyner and Helen A. McKinney Tyner; sons, James E. Tyner and Donald D. Tyner; and sisters, Martha A. Wells, Sarah A. Clance, and Dorothy D. Tyner.
Survivors include his son, Alfred C. Tyner, Jr. (Janet) of Winston-Salem, NC; daughters, Helen A. Tyner of Fort Pierce, FL, Carmella A. Tyner of Mascotte, FL, Barbara J. Martin of Huntersville, NC; brother, William E. Tyner of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Sybil E. Parcell of Fort Pierce, FL, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
