Alexandra Ruschak, lovingly known as Aly, passed away on September 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with a second occurrence of leukemia. She was born on August 4, 1992, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and made her home in Ocean Village, Florida.
Aly was genuine, kind, and endlessly grateful—even in the midst of her health challenges. She brought warmth and light to everyone around her with her quick sense of humor and caring heart. She loved playing tennis, cooking, listening to music, cheering for the Steelers, spoiling her beloved dog, Charlie, and spending time at the beach—her happy place.
A proud graduate of Florida Tech University, Aly earned her degree in psychology and played on the university’s tennis team. She went on to become a valued employee at Curaleaf, where she found joy in helping others.
Aly is survived by her parents, Joan and Paul Ruschak; her sisters, Alyssa Guba and Ellyn Walker; and her four nieces and one nephew, who adored their Aunt Aly. She shared a deep and loving bond with her family, who were her greatest source of strength and joy. Aly was beautiful inside and out and will be remembered always for her kind spirit, radiant smile, and the laughter that will be missed so dearly by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blood Cancer United in her name. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
