It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Aiden Ralph Gachette. Aiden, our beloved loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, passed away on May 30, 2025, leaving a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Aiden was born on April 2, 2008, in West Palm Beach, Florida to his proud parents, Jean Ralph and Amy (Hoskins) Gachette.
Those that had the pleasure of getting to know Aiden knew he had the kindest heart, warmest smile, thoughtful nature, and a genuine passion for fishing, one that he learned from his dad. From a very young age Aiden was drawn to the waters, where he found great skill, happiness and thrill for catching fish. Aiden was very eager to share his passion and knowledge of the many different fish he liked to hook and best bait to use to catch them with anyone who would listen. Aiden was a true fisherman. Though Aiden's time with us was far too brief, the impact he made on the lives of those around him is immeasurable and everlasting.
Aiden was an honor roll student at Fort Pierce Central High School, just completing his junior year. He also worked at The Fishing Center Bait Shop where he enjoyed interacting with his many customers, discussing bait and fishing.
The overwhelming sadness we feel by Aiden’s absence will probably never subside, but we are comforted by the fact that he is in Heaven with his Grammie Lynne (Hoskins), whom he shared a very special bond with.
Left to cherish Aiden’s memory are his loving parents, Jean Ralph and Amy Gachette, his sister Ava, and beloved dog Finn. His maternal grandfather Vaughn (Papa) Hoskins and his partner Darlene, his paternal grandmother Marie Elda Gachette, grandfather Julien Bastien, great-grandmother Lorraine Hoskins; Uncles Vaughn (Crystal) Hoskins, Jean Gerbir (Bobby) Angervil, Marckinson (Sienna) Angervil, Aunt Cassandra Gachette; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Aiden was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lynne (Wilkinson) Hoskins, Uncle Reginald Gachette, along with other extended family members.
A Celebration of Aiden’s Life will be held on June 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the River Walk Center, located at 600 N Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, FL where family and friends can gather to remember Aiden. We ask those in attendance to come dressed in fishing attire in honor of Aiden.
If the fish no longer bite, or seem no longer worth the fight, because it’s me that you are really missing, don’t worry– be glad – I’ve only gone fishing.
