Aida Esther Garcia (Milian) was born on March 3, 1934, in San Nicolás de Bari, Havana, Cuba. She was married in Havana, Cuba, on January 30, 1960, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love and devotion to family.
Aida passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She will be remembered for her grace, strength, and the deep love she had for her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Felix A. Garcia, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her children: Armando Garcia, wife Sandra, and their children Arthur and Samantha of Orlando, Florida; Kenia Thomas, husband John, and their children Heather and Julian of Cromwell, Connecticut; and Abel Garcia, wife Janeth, and their children Natalie and Alexander of Centerton, Arkansas.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dinora Souter and husband John of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her sister, Olga Garcia of Havana, Cuba; her niece, Lissette Garcia, and her children Eric and Harold of Havana, Cuba; along with many beloved cousins and extended family members.
Aida was preceded in death by her beloved son, Felix Ivan Garcia, whose memory she carried in her heart always.
For many years, Aida worked at Barden Corporation in Danbury, Connecticut, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Prior to moving to Florida, she made her home in Bethel, Connecticut, for 27 years, where she built lasting friendships and a life centered on family and community.
Aida had a deep appreciation for music and poetry, and she enjoyed staying active through tennis and golf. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her family, a way she expressed love that will be fondly remembered at every shared meal.
Aida Esther Garcia leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Aida will be held on January 14th, 2026 starting at 3:00pm and ending at 5:00pm at Haisley Funeral Home Tribute Center at 2041 S.W. Bayshore Boulevard, Port ST. Lucie, FL.
