Adele Linda “Linn” Scalzo, 55, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died Dec. 14, 2023.
Linn graduated from Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, New Jersey, in 1986, and earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Indian River State College in Fort Pierce. She was a tax collections agent with the Palm Beach County Tax Collector and previously worked as a private investigator and process server.
Linn loved animals, music and reading, and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and playing guitar and singing. Linn was kind and loyal and her contagious laugh and larger-than-life personality made an impression on everyone she met.
Linn is survived by her wife of 24 years, Maureen Kenyon, of Port St. Lucie; her brother, James Scalzo, and his wife, Stella Vasilakis, of Tom’s River, New Jersey; her nephew, Zachary Scalzo, and his wife, Kelsey, of West Chester, Pa.; her niece, Sophia Scalzo, of Tom’s River, New Jersey; her best friend, Jennifer Mulhearn, of Hobe Sound; cousins, Joseann and Jacqueline Morella, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and James Morella, of Colorado; and her dog, Dixie. Linn was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth J. Scalzo; and her father, Mario James Scalzo.
A celebration of life will be held in February.
