Viorel Costin

Viorel Costin, 64, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away surrounded by family at his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Viorel was born on June 9, 1956 in Romania to Emil Costin and Ilisca Coman. He married Cornelia Lupu on Oct 15, 1978 in Petrosani Romania Viorel, loved God! He made the commitment to follow Jesus Christ and got baptized in 1974. He was an active member of Filadelphia Church in Petrosani Romania. While there he was in the church choir. Once we moved to the US in 1989, he became a member of Elim Romanian church in Hollywood FL where he also served in the church choir. He had a passion for singing, even as the sickness was taking its course he was singing, praying, and hoping God would intervene. He was at peace with everything and even said that if God is using this circumstance to reach some of the family and his sons and daughters towards salvation, he was at peace with it. He always told people about Jesus, even in the end talking to the doctors and nurses. Literally everyone and anyone who would listen. And this is who he was spiritually. Some of you met him at different sport activities. He was an active person enjoying and participating in different sports, especially soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Usually joking around and keeping up with the youngsters...He was always positive and upbeat, always there for anybody that needed help. The best father anyone could ever have. Survivors include wife, Cornelia Costin of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Sergiu Costin; daughter, Talida Dickenson; sons, Magdiel Costin, Onisim Costin; Laurentiu Costin, Celestin Costin, Bryan Costin, Tommy Costin, and daughter, Abigail Costin. His siblings are, Maria, Rodica, Livia, Emilia, Simona, Mircea, Emil, Cornel, Daniel, Stefan, Beniamin and Petrica. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 6PM to 8PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11AM at the Haisley Tribute Center with burial to follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery. Family requests that flowers ordered be either all white or a white and blue combination.
