Valerie May Allen-Campbell, died unexpectedly on May 27, 2020 at the age of 52 in Port St. Lucie, FL. She is survived by her children, Jada-Lee and Kenrieque Campbell; her siblings Stanford, Christina, Aaron, Gladstan Allen and Joyce Edwards; her nieces, nephews as well as other relatives, friends and colleague. She is predeceased by her parents, Ivalyn and Joslyn Allen.

Valerie was born on June 8, 1967 in a small farming community known as Nine Turns, in the Parish of Clarendon, Jamaica.

Valerie attended Edwin Allen Comprehensive High School. Upon graduating, she was employed by the Councilor for North West Clarendon where she further grew in professional endeavors and in 1990, became a member of the Jamaica Police Force. Her accomplishments within the police force knew no limit and she quickly rose up the ranks from Constable to Sergeant of Police at the Mobile Reserve Police Station in the Parish of St. Andrew.

In 2006, Valerie retired from the Jamaica Police Force and embarked on a new journey. Valerie migrated to America with her children, Jada and Kenrieque. She then began working at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and St Lucie Medical Center where she developed work-family relationships with many of the people.

Valerie is remembered as a thoughtful, hardworking and loving person. She was a person of integrity, always thinking of others. Above all, Valerie believed in family. She always said her family is the most important thing in her life. She would call Jamaica every single day to check up on things and make sure that everyone was doing OK.

She was a caring mother, sister, aunty, friend, and colleague. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and just be around family and friends. Valerie will most definitely be missed. Her generosity and love will continue to guide each one of us throughout our lives.
