Trevor Mark Snyder, 32, of Pensacola, FL passed away early Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 due to complications following an injury.
Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 12, 1986, Trevor is the only son of Mark and Kathy (Minkler) Snyder of Port St Lucie, FL, formerly of Johnstown, NY. He is also the baby brother to his overprotective, indulgent and tormenting sisters, Stacy “Stachu” Waner and Sarah “SJ” Gatta both of Port St Lucie, FL.
Leaving behind his beloved hometown of Johnstown, NY, Trevor moved to Port St Lucie, FL in 1997 with his family. He was a 2004 graduate of Ft Pierce Central High School where he was exceptionally active in the JROTC which led to him joining the Marine Corps immediately following graduation.
Trevor was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps 2/8 Fox Company having served 2 tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2008, Trevor continued his service to his country with the Florida National Guard. Trevor was proud and honored to have served with his Brothers in Arms and continued that brotherhood when he joined the Leatherneck Motorcycle Club where he was a very active member. Trevor relocated to Pensacola, FL in April 2018 and continued to be extremely involved in the Leatherneck Motorcycle Club, quickly creating bonds and friendships with his new brothers.
Trevor had a huge heart, a dynamic personality and a wide circle of friends whose lives were touched by his. He inherited a quick wit from his parents and loved to make people laugh, especially with is sarcasm. His family and friends meant everything to him and him to them. He will be sorely missed.
Trevor is survived by his devoted family, parents, Mark and Kathy Snyder; sisters, Stacy Snyder-Waner and Sarah Snyder-Gatta; the big brothers he always wanted, brothers in law, Aaron Waner and Barry Gatta both of Port St Lucie; cherished niece, Mackenzie N. Waner of Port St Lucie and his “mini-me”, nephew, Airman Mark L. Waner, United States Navy. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He had a special relationship and shared a love of motorcycles with his Uncle Roger Snyder of Ft Johnson, NY. He leaves behind his loving fiancé, Collette Cameron and was proud to be a devoted “daddy” to Ellana Cameron. He also leaves behind his “hetero life partner, his brother, his Oupie” Donald Ouprasith of Pensacola, FL.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Kathleen (Dolly) Minkler of Amsterdam, NY and paternal grandparents, Peggy and Richard Snyder of Ft. Johnson, NY.
Calling hours will be held from 11am to 2pm, Saturday, January 19th at Haisely Funeral Home, Okeechobee Rd. Ft Pierce, FL directly followed by the funeral service. A celebration of Trevor’s life will be held immediately following the funeral at the American Legion 3195 NE Savannah Rd. Jensen Beach, FL 34957. Interment will be held at a later date.
