Teresa Ford Smith

Teresa Ford Smith passed away January 24, 2020, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Teresa was born to Frank and Helen Ford and was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce. She attended St. Anastasia School and graduated from John Carroll High School in 1976.
She was an active member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and heavily involved with the Scouts starting in 1996. She was a Den Leader, Cub Master and served on various Troup and District Committees. Continuing her service to Scouting, she became a Merit Badge Counselor, Religious Coordinator, Roundtable Commissioner and Unit Commissioner. In recognition of her tireless service, she was awarded the District Award of Merit, Piney Oliver Award and the St. George Adult Recognition Award.

Teresa was a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to her family, selflessly nurturing and guiding her children through life.

Teresa is survived by her husband Ken; daughter Samantha and son Kaleb; her sisters, Elaine (Joe) Matthews, Eileen Ford (Bruce Gilbert), Carmen Gilmore and Dorothy (Michael) O’Guin; her sisters- in law Catherine Dwyer and Margaret Blass; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her son Francis Smith and her parents.

Services: Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, with the burial at Riverview Memorial Park, Fort Pierce, to follow.
