Stephen “Steve” William Ives, 66, died November 1, 2021 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Ives was born in Chandler, Arizona and moved to Fort Pierce in 2009 coming from Travis Air Force base in California.
Steve retired as Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 33 years of service. Steve was a free spirited, laidback guy with a big heart who loved being near the saltwater, especially surfing. He also loved gardening, animals, and telling stories. He was very outgoing and social, never meeting a stranger; If you met him once he was your friend for life.
Survivors include his wife, Dona Ives of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Sara (Dustin) Ives of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Shawn (Jenny) Ives of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Kay Ives of Melbourne, FL and Patti (Rick) Greenough of St. Augustine, FL; and grandchildren, Emma and Trisha Ives.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Lucie County Humane Society, 8890 Glades Cut Off Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34986.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Haisley Reception Center, Fort Pierce.
