Roscoe L. Owens, 83, passed away January 31, 2021 in Fort Pierce, FL.
Roscoe was born on April 21, 1937 to Katherine and Roscoe Owens, Jr. in Pellham, GA.
In 1975 he retired from the United States Airforce after 20 years of service.
He was a dedicated member of Riverview Baptist Church and spent many years volunteering with the Crossing Community Thrift Store. His favorite times were spent at family get-togethers frying fish for everyone!
His hobbies, along with being an amazing fish fryer, included fishing, collecting writing pens, and woodworking. He specialized in making wooden whirly birds and hand painted American wooden flags.
Roscoe is survived by his loving wife Betty Owens of Fort Pierce, FL; Children, Robyn Owens Ramsey and Bobby Owens both of Princeton, TX; stepchildren, Gay H. Doyle, Bob Harris, and Ken Harris all of Fort Pierce, FL; Siblings, Mona Owens Watson of Athens, GA, Marvin Owens of Fredricksburg, VA, and James Alvin Owens as well as 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Roscoe and Katherine Owens; Brother, Rudell Owens; and Grandson, Joshua Medcalf.
